All the world’s a stage… including the lawn behind Schwarm Hall on the Miami Hamilton Campus.

That’s where Pollen Productions and Miami University Hamilton Theatre will present William Shakespeare’s “As You Like It,”  7  p.m.  Aug. 1-2 and Aug. 8-9 at 7 p.m.  Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs and a picnic if so desired. Tickets for the performances are $5 for general admission.

This contemporary take on Shakespeare’s classic follows heroine Rosalind (Kaleigh-Brooke Dillingham) as she flees persecution in Duchess Frederica’s (Schrese Holloway) court, accompanied by her cousin Celia (Myka Lipscomb).  Orlando (Sean Davis), the love of her life, also must escape the city to avoid his savage brother Oliver (David Bryant).  They both end up in the forest of Arden in the vicinity of Rosalind’s exiled mother, Duchess Senior (Schrese Holloway). See what happens as Rosalind and Celia leave all that they have known for the forest, where lovers and family reunite.

On Saturday, August 2, Miami Hamilton Theatre and Pollen Productions will host a Theatre Learning Day from 4 p.m. – 6 p. m. There will be stations that discuss the elements and the processes that go into the creation of a theatre production with fun activities from make-up to costuming, and even working with Shakespeare in performance! Tickets for the Theatre day will be $10 and include admission to the show.

Tickets are available for both events at http://asyouhamilton.brownpapertickets.com/. For more information, call 513-529-3053 or email info.pollenproductions@gmail.com. Miami University Hamilton is located at 1601 University Blvd.
