Monthly tornado siren tests may sound different

Several new notification sirens will be heard during the City of Hamilton’s monthly tornado sirens test Wednesday.

The notification sirens designed with improved technologies are located on Wasserman Road at Ridgeway school, Ford Boulevard at North End park, University Boulevard near Miami University Hamilton and a previously installed siren at Hamilton High School.

Older sirens will continue to sound, according to a release from the City. They “will be phased out over time,” the release said.

The City tests sirens every first Wednesday of each month.
