Banu Gibson highlights her wide range and versatility at the Fitton Center

A superior and swinging jazz singer, Banu Gibson is one of the few vocalists of her generation to maintain exclusive loyalty to songs of the 1920s, ‘30s and ‘40s. Join us as Banu entertains guests in the beautiful Carruthers Signature Ballroom at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 8:00 p.m.

Today, Banu Gibson stands virtually at the top of her field. Rather than mimic singers of the past, she mixes fresh renditions of Tin Pan Alley standards and jazz classics by Gershwin, Ellington, Berlin, Carmichael, Waller, Porter, etc. A powerful force on stage, her enthusiasm and showmanship are highlighted by her wide range and versatility.

This performance is part of the EntertainmentPlus! Series. A reception of beer, wine, and light hors d’oeuvres is included in your ticket price. The post-performance reception is sponsored by MillerCoors. The season beverage sponsor is G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc.
