Independence Day Festivities In Hamilton

The City of Hamilton will celebrate the 4th of July through a number of family-friendly activities on Saturday, July 4th.

The theme for this year’s activities is “Celebrating Hamilton’s History – The Great Miami River.”

At 10:00 AM Hamilton’s 53rd Annual 4th of July Parade will step off from the Butler County Fairgrounds and will end at the Butler County Courthouse. Among the many floats and groups participating in the parade will be five area high school marching bands.

Following the parade there will be a Patriotic Ceremony at the Butler County Courthouse where special recognition will be given to all veterans. The Hamilton Concert Band and local elementary students will also perform.

Other activities will include a Taste of Hamilton throughout the day around the courthouse and open houses of local historical sites from 11 to 4.

At RiversEdge Amphitheater, the Divine Steel Band will perform at 4:30, the 500 Miles to Memphis Band will perform at 6:30 and Lindi Ortega will perform at 8:30. At 10:00 the community will be treated to Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks Extravaganza on the River sponsored by the City of Hamilton’s Concert Series at RiversEdge Amphitheater.
