Get a head start on your garden this winter at the Hamilton Lane Library during the Urban Garden Series on Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
September 19: Kitchen Aquaponics: Learn how fish and a fish tank can be used to grow winter herbs in your kitchen. Have herbs for your winter meals and enjoy the beauty and fragrance of fresh herbs all winter long.
October 17: Canning Garden Produce: Join Terri Chatfield from the OSU Butler County Extension and learn how to turn your garden vegetables and herbs into delicious canned goods. Maximize use of garden produce with additional food preservation techniques.
November 14: Grow Bag Gardening: Learn how to grow produce in the dead of winter using this self-watering, highly productive, indoor growing technique. Enjoy spinach, kale, lettuce and other greens all winter long with minimal use of electricity, water and space.
